Abstract: Can a child understand complex philosophical concepts? Why is it important for children to come into contact with rationality? How can they take their first steps into the magical world of ideas? Aristotle used to say that philosophy starts with questioning. Questions such as "why?", "who am I?", "what's to blame?", "why is this bad?" are very common and depending on the age of the children, they require serious answers. Philosophy, besides satisfying children's inherent tendency to "explore", greatly improves their mental skills and creativity. Furthermore, children often have to deal with issues of diversity and conflict in their relationships, making it imperative that they develop rational and exploratory thinking. However, the actual encounter of children with philosophy is not easy. It requires deep knowledge and methodical application. The right philosophy book, especially designed for children, is a good start not only for the child, but also for parents who are asked to answer this storm of questions. On this basis, we have selected eight (plus one) representative titles of books for young philosophers.
